altHardy Sellers

Born in Columbia, SC
1988 Graduate of the US Air Force Academy with a BS ACS Chemistry
Senior AF Pilot
Currently, Administrative Pastor of Vaughn Forest Church
Certified Bike & Running Coach

I started running in my mid-thirties (2003) after realizing, chasing small children, how out of shape I had allowed myself to become.  Unable to run a mile, I researched heart rate training and started the slow climb out.  After building up to six miles (over almost a year) I was challenged to do my first triathlon in 2004.  Competing in year old trail shoes and a mountain bike, I got the bug.  I have competed in numerous triathlons, from sprint to half-ironman, winning or placing in my age group at every distance.  I became a certified bike coach in 2009, running coach in 2010 and will complete my triathlon coaching certification in 2011.

altRobbie Sandlin

Began competing in local road races back in 1983.  Ran his first marathon in 1984 and has since competed at every distance up to the marathon.  While in college, Robbie competed in a few triathlons, but just for the cross training benefits for his running.  It has just been in the last 3 years that triathlons have become a focus of his.  He has always been an avid outdoorsman, competing in mountain bike races, adventure races, trail running and racing, and off road triathlons.

Robbie had the blessing of competing on a national level running team as well as an international pentathlon team.  Those experiences afforded him the opportunity to travel and see the world, meet and make friends with athletes from all over, and train with world class coaches.  His competitive highlights are below:

Completed 24 marathons (20 under 3:00)

Competed for Reebok Racing Club (4yrs)

Member US Military Pentathlon Team 92-95

World Champion 1995   Rome, Italy

US Record Holder Military Pentathlon Obstacle Course (2:30:01)

Completed several Adventure Races

Triathlon:  Sprints – ½ Ironman

Competitive Runner for 28 years

Competitive goals are to one day complete an Ironman Distance Triathlon, finish an ultra-marathon, and to run a marathon with his kids.
