Biographies of our Consultants:
Lee Hogan has always loved bikes. He first worked in a bike shop while in college, fixing flat tires at Johnnie’s Schwinn Cyclery in Greensboro, NC. His career path took him into the radio broadcasting business for almost thirty years, but during most of that time he remained active in cycling. He raced competitively on the road, traveling to state, national and even world championship events. His love of cycling eventually called him to move to Austria, where he lived for almost a decade and was privileged to race and ride many of the famous Alpine courses and climbs.
After returning to the States in 2007, Lee received a Professional Mechanic certificate from United Bicycle Institute in Ashland, OR and began working in the retail cycling field full-time, mostly as a mechanic and service manager. He was recently hired as one of the elite group of mechanics to work at Ironman events throughout the USA. He remains active as a road and off-road cyclist, and has recently taken up running.

Michael "Sally" Sallinger
Mike was born into a proud American military family at Hahn Air Base, Germany and hails from the great city and state of Montgomery, Alabama. After deciding the art of pastries and culinary cuisine was not the career for him, Mike became a part of The Run Shop at Montgomery Multisport and instantly found passionate enjoyment in helping fellow runners with their shoe and footwear selection. He then decided to hone his culinary kneading skills into the art of healing and crafting happier, healthier people through massage & manual therapies, has since graduated from the Montgomery School of Bodywork & Massage in 2014, and continues to further his education in Thai yoga massage in hopes of connecting with more people and more places.
As an Ironman and ultra endurance athlete, Mike also enjoys long runs on the beach into majestic sunsets, long bike rides with friends on glorious Bama roads while smelling the roses, hitting the trails with good company, nice bubble bath soaks in the candlelight listening to reggae, getting massages, vegan baking, and high octane rock & roll. ... And he just happens to be really really fast...
